Who We Are

The basic objectives of the Society:

• the bringing together of persons with an interest in history and historical matters,

• the fostering of an understanding of the history of Launceston, the Tamar Valley & nearby districts,

• the publication of works and papers having an historical interest, and

• the protection, preservation and promotion of the heritage of Launceston and its environs.

What we Do

We are an organisation that brings together like-minded people who share an interest in history and historical matters, especially that of Launceston and surrounding areas.
